Under The Dome

This post was supposed to be posted before 28-March-2015, Earth Hour 2015. Anyway, now that the organizer is encouraging everyone to take action beyond earth hour, so it's never too late.

This year, I would like to dedicate my post to SMOG. And yes, this is triggered by a recent video by Chinese journalist Chai Jing's investigating smog condition in China. While there has been many controversials about the 104-minutes documentary, Under the Dome, it is no doubt that with the urbanization and cities development, smog is happening everywhere and has became a serious environment and health problem.



Smog is not only a problem for China government, but a problem for everyone. It sadden me that most people are taking it lightly. Most are having the mindset of
1. I didn't cause this;
2. There is nothing I could do;
3. This is government's problem and they are suppose to fix it

So, everyone is waiting for the government or someone to do "something" and nothing get fix. So the air condition continues to get worse. I do believe that the dust storms we have seen in movie Interstellar may happens, one day. The only question is how soon?

Just like Obama has said, we are the first and last generation that can do something about it. Are we gonna let all our younger generation to stay indoors and living with air purifier and air conditioning all year round? When human can stay indoors, what happens to the animals that have no place to hide?

So, NOW, is the time we all should start taking responsibilities, start taking care of the environment in our daily lives.
