Best 2015

Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.
—— Hal Borland

Noticed I have not been updating my blogs for many months and throughout all these years, 2015 has recorded the least number of blog posts. For a record, guess it may be right for me to do a quick summary.

2015 is the year of change for me, in many aspects. Less blog posts for one, but not less active online, this means I have switched to more microblogging such as Forevermui @twittertwitter, Jo @G+Google Plus (G+) and forevermui @pinterestpinterest. Since December 2015, I even started to Forevermui @InstagramInstagram. At times, kinda find it difficult to covers all 4 of them, unless I am posting the same stuff everywhere. Then again, I am spending more time to read and follow thru these social medias, believe this explains I don't have much time for updating blog.

The increase of my online time on social media is a good testament of the significant shift in digital trend, from desktop to mobile, from static webpages to community sharing and social media. In line with this, I have made a career move to digital, where my interest and passion lives. Ensuring myself is up to speed and challenges will be my focus in 2016.
Digital Transformation

I have started doing Zumba routine since 2014 year end, which I have found great joy and passions in it. I wish I know how to express the great feeling in nailing the Zumba moves, the fun in dancing, the reviving feeling of getting fit. That said, occasionally I had experienced Exercise-induced anaphylaxis (EIA, 運動誘發過敏反應), a rare disorder induced during exercise with pruritus and hives all over my body, even losing conscious. Thus far, I had 3 of this experience. The first attack warrant me to perform a cardio check-up in June. The check-up result shows that I have a clean bill of health, other than my cholesterol level is too high. Since then, I have started to change to healthier diet and drinking detoxing fruit juice.

Vertical Challenge 2015
Thanks to the vertical challenge started by my colleague, I had started to climb stairs since late April. Surprisingly, climbing stairs is easier than we imagine. On average, I had been climbing 14-16 floors per day consistently, although my office was on 11th floor. Hope this helps my cardio muscle and heart rate to a certain extend. This exercise came to a stop after my long holidays. And now, my office is at ground floor, the more difficult it is to find motivation to take the stairs.

Finally, I can checked out New Zealand from my bucket list. We spent total of 25 days in visiting main attractions in both South and North Island. Yet, we felt that is really NOT ENOUGH and there are places we wanted to revisit. It was early spring in September, words can't express how amazing the sceneries are. Neither our photographing skill is doing the justice for the majestic beauty of New Zealand.

Also, we have had few amazing experience during this trip. Among others, was our first tramping experience at Aoraki Mount Cook. The early morning walk to Kea Point, glazing on the beautiful Mount Cook and Muller Glacier, was really eye opening. I wish I could do more of these activities in the coming years.

Speaking of new experience, I started to exercise in gym since July/August. Though I can't be running on treadmill for more than 10 minutes, I've seen progress. Be it in fitness level or my body weight, which is really encouraging and satisfying. Unfortunately, I fell down from the treadmill on 16-November. The accident happened when the treadmill suddenly increase speed from 7 to 12.5, before I manage to stop it, I already fell. My jaw hit hard on the treadmill and then the floor. My forehead, nose, elbows are among the visible injuries other than my jaw. It was happen too fast and I was in shock. Only later, I realized not only my knee, my left chest muscle also in pain. To my surprise, the episode actually caused my blood pressure to spike from average 80 to 140! Even after 1.5 months, my blood pressure still hovering around 110-120, aside from my jaw is never looks the same anymore. Now, I have returned to gym, but I had only done brisk walking. I will need time to overcome the psychological phobia, and I will.

At last, I am a proud owner of Nexus 6P. I had a great experience using Galaxy Nexus, the 3rd Google phone and have been waiting for the next best Nexus phone. Finally, Nexus 6P not only has the top notch hardware, but also achieved vast improvement in the camera and battery performance. Moreover, this is 1st official launch in Malaysia since the Galaxy Nexus. Nexus 6p is the 7th edition Google's flagship Android smartphone, being part of Google Nexus means the device running on plain vanilla version of Android. This Nexus device was named 6P, with the P standing for premium, and is the first Nexus device with all-metal design. Having my dream phone is the perfect Christmas gift for myself and perfect reward for the better me.

In conclusion, my 2015 was healthier, more active and positive. My wish for 2016 is to keep the momentum, continue to conquer my fears and challenge myself for better tomorrow.
Challenge yourself for the new year
